CIB Badge

Of all the Medals Upon our Chest From the Battles and War we knew, The one admired as THE VERY BEST
Is the one of Infantry Blue. It is only a rifle upon a wreath,
So why should it mean so much?
It is WHAT IT TOOK TO EARN IT
That gives it that Magic Touch. To earn this special accolade
You faced the enemy's fire
Whether you survived or not
God dialed that one desired.
For those of us who served the cause
It is the
COMBAT INFANTRYMAN'S BADGE...
THAT REALLY TELLS THE STORY

CIB Badge

Commander’s Corner

Date: January 31, 2008

Greetings fellow CIA Members,

My name is Tony Martinez. I reside in Austin, Texas, USA and I am the current Commander of the  Combat Infantrymen’s Association Unit, H21 Southern Branch.  We hope that you can all participate and enjoy the comaraderie of our comrades. This CIA UNIT, headquartered  in Austin, Texas, gives coverage from Killeen and Fort Hood all the way to San Antonio–and further South.

Rules for forming a new company require having at least TEN members. We have met that goal and we are increasing our membership.

If you reside in Austin or a neighboring state, please consider a transfer from your current Unit to H21 Southern Branch in Austin, Texas. If you are interested in transferring and/or assisting, please reply via phone, mail, or email to:

There are many ways in which we can  recruit  new members. I myself have gone to military reunions of different Army units–such as the 23rd Infantry Division (Americal), which was my old unit in Vietnam. You can also promote and recruit for the CIB Association.

Remember that we are an ELITE GROUP OF MEN and we all have one thing in common–we are Veterans and Combat Infantrymen who have earned the CIB.

Regards,

Tony Martinez, CMDR
